Kids Read Now Summer Reading Program

Parents and Friends of Coloma Elementary Students:

Coloma Elementary has recently partnered with Kids Read Now to prevent the summer reading slide and close the achievement gap. 300 students in JK-3rd grade will be participating in the program that runs through August 31st. Students choose nine, new, free books they want to read over summer. Each time a student reads and reports a book by phone, text, or online, the next book is shipped directly to their home. To receive the first 3 books, parents can verify their information and pick them up on June 6th at Field Day or that evening at Coloma Elementary’s Family Night from 5-7 pm. This event will include family games and food!

Any questions can be directed to our Literacy Coach, Kerry Mindeman at [email protected] or 773.882.6100.
